Add boiler control to starter kit installation
I installed a starter kit (WiFi room controller, bridge, and four TRVs) last year, which is working just fine.
Now I'd like to add direct boiler control, our Grant Vortex seems to be suitable. It has a very old digital controller ("TimeGuard") on it to control the heating and hot water circuits and it's this I want to replace.
I can't for the life of me work out what I need to acquire. What do I need?

You can actually buy just the wireless receiver - it's just not linked on the shop anywhere:
. There is also an EU-Version of the device; not sure which one would better fit your bill:0 -
Thanks for that Steve.
Yes, I've only set up one heating zone, with separate rooms and TRVs I'm not clear what advantage a zone gives me, but then I haven't looked at it in detail since I installed it last year.
Thanks for that link, looks like a good idea. It's not like there's wear and tear on this stuff. I've bought it, thanx!

Thanks for that Martini.
I think I found that with a search, looks familiar. P'raps Tado don't actually want to sell it very much.
I'm hoping Steve's link, at two thirds the price for three times as much, will fit the bill perfectly😎

Thanks for that Steve, A marathon effort, you're a star!
Yes, my plumbing doesn't have separate zones so no issue there.
That's pretty much how I thought the "virtual zones" would work. Seems a bit redundant when it's so easy to install TRVs and control them and without suitable plumbing the zoning won't work completely anyway.

Blimmin' seller just cancelled my order with a refund 🤨
At least I know what to look out for now. Thanks again.
<Later>Seller seems to have cancelled my order and re-listed it! Wot? However, there are several on eBay today, and in fact one controller only, which I've now ordered! Woo-hoo.
