Dress Plate for the V3 + Wireless Receiver

Hi My new V3+ Receiver occupies a much smaller footprint when mounted in the recess hole that

housed the old Controller . Anybody got any ideas on how to dress up cosmetically to avoid tiling ,

filling & painting etc . In brief I need a dress plate , similar to the dress plate that's available for the wired smart thermostat .

All suggestions welcome .

@DamienBobDylan Welcome. Not sure from the description what you are trying to cover up? It would help to post pictures of the problem/hole that you are trying to fix. It's easiest to post pictures from a web browser.

  • Sorry , ' Dress Plate ' shud read ' Trim Plate ' ....
I have to say that I am struggling to upload a photo .... the user interface not intuitive enough for me .
  • Hi @DamienBobDylan

On the web browser, you'll find icons at the bottom of the text box. If you click on the paper clip or image icon, you should be able to upload photos with your comments. You can also drag and drop files into the text box if that is easier. Photos would indeed be helpful 🙂

In the mean time, tado° does sell a trim plate, but it is only officially suitable for the Wired Smart Thermostat and the Extension Kit. Perhaps you could also rejig it to suit your needs here? I've never done it, but perhaps someone else in the community has….

  • Thank you Emcee for your assistance , attached is photo of wireless receiver installled in recess previously occupied by controller with a greater footprint . I am trying to avoid tiling (bcause I dont have any spare 30 yrs old etc ) , filling ,grouting etc . Hence my thinking on a trim plate etc .
