Further savings going back to relay?
I have been using Tado wired thermostat through to Vailant ecotec 831 for over five years, using ebus set up. Also have 4 smart tado radiator thermostats in my set up. Has worked without problems. However, the house is 1930s solid brick external walls with double glazing throughout and good loft insulation. Would I gain any further energy savings if I set tado back to relay control on my Vailant boiler and put back the disconnected weather compensation that originally came with boiler?

Hello @Manic_drummer A lot depends on lifestyle and how you use your heating schedule with room temperature and timings. Most of our savings over the past 2.5 years are from optimising the room and hot water schedule (timings/temperatures) with our diaries, along with rigourous geo-fencing.
Where the ebus setup is working well for you, I can't think of a good reason to set it back to relay. I'd suggest that optimising the schedule for room temperature/time control, adding TRVs if needed, may be a more productive path.
FYI: Monthly gas consumption 2022-24 with Tado vs 2018-21 at the same outside temperature (mean CET). (Updated chart 19/9)

@Wateroakley thanks so much for a comprehensive reply. It was just that I was just reading around that as our house is considered a high heat loss ‘true’ weather compensation would produce better savings than tado load compensation/dubious internet weather. Therefore to revert back to tado just doing the relay and go back to Vailant doing the weather compensation0
