Missing comments from some users

@Emcee, can you assist here?

Looking at some discussions, I note that comments from certain users are missing

e.g. GrayDav4276 and SteveIreland (profile is gone)

This makes it hard to follow some discussions.

Appreciate that some users may remove themselves from the forum but it would be useful to still be able to see their comments if they do that as they could still provide benefit to existing users

    Agree entirely but how can they remove old comments?

    SteveIreland requested to have all his contributions to the forum removed.
    GrayDav4276's comments broke the community's netiquette and were therefore removed.
    Their comments will not be returned to the forum.

    That's disappointing that all of GrayDav4276's posts have been removed . Appreciate that it is not possible to restore them now.

    I would suggest for future situations like this, it would make more sense to only remove the posts that broke the rules so that other forum members could benefit from the offending user's previous contributions?

    Thanks for the suggestion. And yes, I agree.

    GrayDav4276's case was its own years-long can of worms.
    I plan on taking a comment-by-comment approach in the future as most members active on the forum now tend to follow the netiquette quite well.
