Hello @AndrewI
I'm not sure I completely understand your question. Do you mean to say: Will the Smart Radiator Thermostats continue to work should they lose connectivity?
Or do you mean to say something completely different? More details would be helpful. Maybe an example?1 -
I am an electrical engineer who has a very unusual arrangement at home at present.
I installed as a bit of a project because I had a wired room thermostat in the Lounge and wanted to add a wireless arrangement with Drayton TRV's as a semi automation project.
I therefore have 2 thermostats one is wireless |(Sunvic) and the other is hard wired.
I have a switch on the control box I designed that allows me to switch between the 2 if the batteries go on the wireless unit.
I have now purchased TADO to control the hot water system and 14 radiators. I have it on a bench and it seems to be working. I am using the Y system.
If the Smart TRV'S work on their own using the manual settings on the valve without the bridge it will mean I can use the switchover arrangement if the TADO ever fails
If it wont work in this way then I will remove the manual controls and just use the TADO smart arrangement.
I now have every thing working well on the bench and can proceed to install the whole system.
I know it seems complicated but it's already there if the TRV's work separately.
