Tado connection problems - boiler keeps turning heating on
I recently set up Tado, initially trying the V3+. I had connection issues with the bridge which led to when the connection dropped, the heating would either remain on or remain off and not respond to the app. It would remain in the setting it was in when connection was lost and the only way I could get it to work was turn the heating off from the mains and back on again. I tried all the repositioning advice of the bridge etc but nothing.
I've switched to Tado X due to this, on the first day everything worked fine, the schedule/boost etc. This morning I woke up to no heating. I tried to boost it and nothing. The light on the receiver would come on, but the boiler wasn't firing (this would suggest a wiring issue maybe but it worked fine yesterday). Resetting the Tado X receiver didn't work so again I turned the mains off and on again. After doing so now the heating does the opposite and is always on and won't turn off, even if I try to turn off from the app/receiver it remains on. Again resetting the receiver does nothing. If I try and turn the hot water on and off, the boiler turns off for a second after switching hot water to off then re-fires again to heat the radiators even with the heating off.
I've contacted support who want my wiring images, which is fine. They are helpful in responding but I don't have long on my return window and the responses from support are slow each time (I appreciate they are busy) so I may have to just return it. Ideally I would like to make this work but it seems unlikely…
Wonder if anyone has had this issue or any suggestions? I can't understand why the wiring would be a problem if it worked fine previously

I've found an old thread and this is due to a stuck CH NO relay, helpful to know if anyone else who had these issues had them recur / fixed with a new receiver?
