Heating no longer turn on
Hi,
I have a system with the following setup:
Bosch Worcester 4000 boiler.
Tado Extension Kit controlling the heating and hot water.
Tado wireless thermostat.
Tado radiator thermostats on each radiator.
The system has also been built so that it runs through a manifold meaning that each radiator has it's own dedicated pipe run.
Since installation the system has worked great. The system recently had it's first years service and everything was fine for a couple of weeks.
I then noticed the house was a bit cold and realised that all the radiators were cold. I went into the loft and everything seemed fine, as did the app.
I switched off the power to the boiler and Tado Extension Kit, waited 30 seconds and powered it all back on. Everything started working perfectly again and the radiators started heating.
It then did the same thing a couple of days later. A power cycle fixed the issue again but I booked an appointment with the original installers to inspect the system.
Whilst waiting it has happened a few more times and each time a power cycle fixed it.
Now however the power cycle is no longer working. Hot water has been working the whole time with no issue.
I am not sure where the problem lies. The Extension Kit has the heating LED lit up. The app reports no issues and shows that all the radiators are 'heating'. The boiler seems fine with no issues.
It's almost like the Extension Kit thinks it is telling the boiler to send heating but not actually doing it.
Any ideas would be much appreciated as Tado support is not 24/7 and slow anyway. The plumbers are also booked out and not coming for another few days and it's the UK in December!

Oh, I forgot to say that our towel radiators are heating fine. These bypass the Tado system as they are on a dedicated circuit, so I know the boiler is heating that part.

Are you comfortable with electrics? You could open the heating wiring centre and check if there is power at the HW terminals in there when Tado is calling for heat. You can also do the same at the extension kit and check for power on the CH terminal when it's calling for heat. One of the small indicator screwdrivers is very useful for this. That would be my starting point
For info, Tado doesn't call heat directly from the boiler. In your system, it triggers a motorised valve that will then trigger the pump and boiler when it opens. There's chance a motorised valve is having issues or, the CH relay in the extension kit is sticking. As far as I'm aware, the CH LED will light up even if the relay is stuck
