Tado V3+ overshooting on target temp

I've noticed that for the last few days (installed on monday) that it seems to overshoot the target temp by quite a bit.

The schedule is set to switch on at 0600 with a target of 21.5c which it reached at 0930 but over an hour later (10:40) the boiler is still on and the rads hot.

PS what do the wavy lines in the info window indicate?

Also, I assume the grey shading indicates when the boiler was on/off but the grading seems to indicate modulation which is not available as I've got it wired as relay?

  • I have the V1 and the overshoot problem happens with it too. For me, it opens full throttle, shoots past the set temperature, only then starts throttling back, and only closes the valve when its almost a degree above set temp.

I have a communal heating system that has very hot water temp, the smart TRV v1, plus a separate temperature sensor. Its maddening.

Apparently it does this because it's "clever". It's trying to keep the temperature at the set level by considering the weather and various other things.

The trouble is this rarely works properly. .

And despite requesting many times, you can't turn this "cleverness" off.

Basically, its doing what the coders want it to do and you're stuck with it.
