New TADO installation - Thermostat and TRV

Hi


we have just had a new TADO install and have smart TRVs on every radiator. We also have a TADO wireless thermostat.


I am now controlling and setting the radiator TRV via the app and I can’t work out what the point of the wireless thermostat now is. Can I simply disconnect it and forget about it?

    Hi @KenT. Please set out whats in place.

    1. What has command over your boiler?
    2. Is there a zone valve in the system?
    3. Where that wireless sensor is in place, are you comfortable - having watched the comfort levels in each room - that the smart radiator trvs are genuinely controlling room temperature well, not letting it get out of hand?
      1. If so, then, yes, dismounting it from the App, letting the place adjust for a week or two would make sense.
      2. Radiator valves tend to be more prone to triggering off early because of their proximity to the heat source. We found that in one room, the radiator valves tended to produce a room which was too hot, so we placed a wireless thermostat to rule and configured the app to rule over the radiators which were too enthusiastic. That fixed the problem.
