Internet Bandwith Consumption
Since November 2024 I have three tado Smart Thermostats and a tado Bridge X running.
My internet connection is a 40 GB/month mobile broadband, which has worked fine for our household since January 2024 with no loss in accumulated monthly bandwith.
Five days ago, by accident, I discovered that there was only 15 GB left and today they were all spent, which means I had to top-up with an extra 5 GB for the rest of the month.
So, what did I add to the equation since January 2024?
Three tado thermostats and a tado Bridge X, where the Bridge X most likely is the culprit.
The Bridge X is now turned off, which should mean that I can reduce the daily use of internet bandwith with approximately 50%
Now for the question: Where on the tado website can I see how much bandwith the tado Bridge X consumes plus additional thermostats?

I doubt if it is Tado, I only used the v3 for a week but looking at the data usage on my firewall it was only around 12MB down and 7MB up for the internet hub.
I also use Adguard DNS and can see that it sends around 500x DNS requests per day, these are tiny amounts of data though and IoT devices are notorious for doing lots of DNS.
I'd be looking elsewhere, have you got any new doorbell or cameras etc, these can use a huge amount of bandwidth.

tado X is the only smart tech that I've got running.

Aha, found out that someone in the household is streaming more videos than previously and forget to close the windows after use on the tablet. There was a myriad of windows in the background.

After rerouting all phones, tablets and computers the router statistics seems to be the place for answers when it comes to how much internet bandwith tado X consumes.
The internet bandwith consumption for tado X over the night seems to be somewhere between 0 (zero) and 3 MB an hour, which obviously depends on the weather, i.e. how much heating is necessary (one Bridge X and three thermostats). At full throttle that would be 3 MB x 24 hours x 30 days = 2.16 GB a month. Hardly what depleted my internet subscription of 40 GB/month.
