New and In Need of Help
Hello Tado Community, I do hope you can help, we were recommended Tado by our very reputable and excellent plumber who uses the system in his own home. I used to have Hive in my previous home and I had intended to install Hive in this house. I was told that Tado did the same pretty much but was more reasonable, so I took his advice.
My partner and I need a smart system as, since having a messy divorce, my partners children are coming to us sporadically and, while we do try to stick to fixed routine, this doesn't always work out. This means I reguarly need to turn the radiators on and off in the children's rooms and other rooms that they use.
Our new house is old and draft and, as with any house these days, trying to keep bills from spiraling is a challenge so we felt that a system where we could make remote changes when we were unexpectedly out of the house would help us waste less energy.
We have had the Tado system installed on Friday 31st January and added the smart valves to the kids' radiators and other radiators that we use most and want more control over.
Now, the biggest problem I have is that I can't seem to find a quick way to flick the kids' radiators off for a few days at a time for random periods - ie, if the kids cancel coming to us one weekend at the last minute. What I want is to have a schedule that we set per radiator but then override that schedule with an 'off' setting that I can turn on with the app then when I want the schedule to resume turn it back 'on' again. Otherwise I have to adjust the schedule constantly per radiator everytime we have a plan change. Surely there has to be a better way!
Next, there are some radiators that are not indivually controlled, the bathroom towel radiators for example we felt did not require a smart valve, yet I can't seem to find the setting for the overall house heating schedule that these will be controlled by anywhere in the app. Surely the app controls the heating as a whole as well as the individual radiator controllers? Am I being stupid??
Really concerned that we've just installed and spent a lot of money on a system that simply doesn't meet our requirements.
All advice welcome and apologies if I'm repeating questions already asked, there seems to be a lot on this forum and I wasn't sure where to begin.

When you go into a room on the app, pull the slider down as far as it will go until is says "OFF" with frost protection. At the bottom make use it says "until you resume schedule" You can change the option here by tapping the pencil icon. You can then resume by tapping the button above that. In addion this exposes a button on tghe Home tab to resume schedule in all rooms with one tap. Is that what you are looking for or have I misunderstood?
