TRV accuracy

Options
I'm finding the TRVs extremely innacurate. I have a digital room thermometer in each room next to the TRV. I'm finding when the radiator comes on and gets hot the TRV is a few degrees above the room thermometer. After several hours with the radiator off, the TRV is several degrees below the room thermometer. Temp compensation cannot account for this difference.

No, it cannot; the only solution to this problem is buying an additional thermostat or radiator thermostat and placing it away from the radiator

Don’t bother using the offset: you’ll get the same result as setting a higher target temperature

Could you not just set to 21 or 23 to turn on the heating. Being inaccurate might be a positive as you'll use less gas. But in general we use 21, 23 and 25 as low, medium and hot.
