TRV/Smart Thermostat and Extension

I seem to be getting in a muddle with support and not wholly sure they understand what I mean.

So I have a smart thermostat connected to a vitodens 100W wb1b boiler, I also have TRV's connected on all the Rads, in the airing cupboard I have a tank and an old Danfoss water and radiator timer (heating was always on, Water on a schedule) this was working well, radiators could call for heat and no issues.

Now I've installed an extension kit so I could manage the water too, but i now find that the TRV's cant call for hot water unless the Wall thermostat is currently heating the main room.

I assume the problem is that heating is no longer (always on) and therefore needs the thermostat to be on first before a radiator heats up.

Support are saying they recommend putting the old danfloss back in. or bridge the cables at the thermostat so its always on?


does that make sense or is something missing?
