Adding a wireless thermostat to an existing wired system?
Just installed a wired thermostat (heating only, no hot water) plus several TRVs.
Realised I also need a wireless thermostat. Can I just buy a wireless thermostat and it will connect to the existing system? Or do I need to also buy a wireless extension (costs a lot more)?
Thanks RedTom

If your wired thermostat already connects to the heating / boiler, then you don't need another (wired or wireless) thermostat. I guess you are just looking for another smart thermometer to measure temperature and control the TRVs. For that, the (cheaper!) smart wireless thermometer will do. It looks exactly like the thermostats, but can't control the heating / boiler but only the TRVs. It is like the thermometers built into the TRVs, but in an external housing to put at a place better suited to measure the room temperature than directly at the heating.
