Radiator valve or second thermostat?

I have one thermostat installed at the moment in my living room, which is the coldest room in the house. As a result, the living room gets nice and warm but the upstairs in particular is like a sauna. I had considered installing smart radiator thermostats on all the commonly used radiators, but would I be best just having an upstairs thermostat and a downstairs thermostat to regulate heat more evenly through the house?

  • Thanks Frank, that’s the answer I was leaning towards as on further research I’m not sure if my heating setup is zoned. Thanks!
