Can someone advise if i can replace my V1 Temperature sensor with a V3 sensor? Are they compatible?

My V1 Sensor got broken and I don't really want to pay out for a complete new system. Can the V1 sensor be replaced by a V3 sensor? Are they compatible?

    I’m pretty sure V1 hardware is not compatible with the V2 & V3 devices. There was a step change in the technology.
