Internet peculiar issue

This has happened 4 times in the last ten days.

Android phone Tado app shows Blue screen with a cross "Internet lost". The Bridge has all lights solid - including Internet connection.

Only way I can get the app to work and control the system is:

  1. Get the bridge in pairing mode via the app;
  2. Get Smart thermostat into pairing mode;
  3. Hold the Extension bridge button to start pairing.

After a few minutes, the app starts to work and I can control the heating etc.

Any comments please?


  • Just a thought, if you have a wireless Tado are the batteries good or is there a form of interference in the location. I had a smart setup for a few years now and I have found that poor network signal has been the root cause of most communications issues. This prompted me to install a Linksys Velop mesh network which has totally solve all network issue in my property. Tado works on the 2.4Ghz band which is prone to interference due to the crossover of bandwidth. Remove anything near the Tado that could be causing interference and see if things improve...hope that helps!

  • @Fuz1701 Tado heating devices do not use 2.4GHz and are unaffected by the choice of home WiFi network. The devices communicate at 868MHz, which is the same frequency used for house alarms, smoke alarms and car remote controls.
