Connecting Tado to Glow Worm Ultracom CXI 30 Combination boiler.

I have purchased the v3 smart wired thermostat kit to replace a Boss Therm BR1 receiver.
There are four wires going into the BR1 in the existing setup: Live/Neutral and then L1 and LX - there is also an empt L2.
I’ve tried to connect to NO and COM then park the Live and Neutral. It boiler in always on more as per manual seems to constantly call for CH. we have 10 smart thermos all connected to the internet bridge in the kit?
