Two zone valves - Combi boiler

Options

Hi there

I've recently re-wired my house.

I have a Combi boiler installed to control the hot water on demand, and then two zone valves for upstairs and downstairs.

From the boiler, I've run a 3-core cable to two thermostat locations (upstairs and downstairs).

What would I need to buy to allow two Tado stats to control the valves separately?

I don't need anything to control hot water as the combo takes care of this when powered up via it's permanent supply.

Thanks!

You need an Internet Bridge and two Wired Thermostats. Buy these two items:

    1) Starter Kit – Wired Smart Thermostat V3+

    2) Add-on – Wired Smart Thermostat

  • Thanks!

Amazon actually has a deal at the moment and the Starter kit is cheaper than the Add On.

Would two starter kits be the same ?

Yes, it’s the same. I initially purchased two starter kits for the same reason. I kept the second bridge as a spare, but some people flog them on eBay.

  • Brilliant, thanks!

And the thermostat is battery powered yeah?

Yes, runs off 3 AAA batteries. The neutral is not used. Just a live and a switched live to operate.

  • Ah, thanks!

A pity. The Nest uses a 12v to power the stat but all good.
