My controller demands CH and the indicator is lit up, the thermostat is showing heat demand but the boiler is not turning on, how do i fix this?

  • I have the same problem. Everything connects and the heating symbol in the app says it’s on but the boiler doesn’t light up
  • I am having the same issue. V3 smart thermostat + extension kit, also have 6 smart radiator thermostats. None of my 6+ smart radiator thermostats are starting the boiler firing.

Need to turn on the heating via the smart thermostat, then the extension kit kicks the boiler to start heating, and the smart radiator thermostats can "call" for heat then. If the smart thermostat is reading to high a temp the extension kit does not cause the boiler to fire, the app says the individual room is heating but the radiator itself is cold. I can hear the motor in the smart thermostat open the vavle on the radiator. It is like the smart thermostat is the only device that will get the extension kit to make the call to start the boiler. Hot water is working fine.
    I have tried resetting everything.

@Dub089 Sorry to hear the the TRVs are not calling for heat. This sounds like the Room settings are 'Independent'.

Go to Settings > Rooms & Devices > "Room name" > Heating zone > Zone controller > Select the extension kit as the zone controller.

Yoiu toggle between 'No Zone Controller (Independent) and the zone controller device.

This room is set as 'Independent'. It acts like a time/temperature TRV, but will not call for heat.
