How to connect the Tado Wired Smart Thermostat to my water heater

Options

The first two photos are from the back of the current water heater, the third one is obviously the Tado Smart Wireless Thermostat

Which connectors correspond to which?

As a side note, will I be able to heat the water to a certain temperature or do I need an additional device for that?

Note: I have no idea what boiler was installed; I've recently moved into the flat and the owner / building contractor are both unhelpful (#ThisIsCyprus)

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

That’s a double pole 20 Amp switch. All it does is turn on the water heater - there is no temperature control. It’s not directly compatible with the Tado thermostat for 2 reasons.

    1) Tado thermostat is single pole and will only switch the live circuit.

    2) Tado is only rated at 6 Amps, but I suspect you have a 3000W 13 Amp water heater.

So all that's left is to send it back?

Yes, it’s not the right device to control your water heater. You can buy water heater time switches, but not aware of any with smart control like Tado or Nest.
