Do i need my extension kit?

We had tado working well on our old boiler (standard tank system) we have changed to a combi boiler so now no need for hot water to switch via the app.

I've tried to re-pair the bridge, thermostat and rad valves but it doesn't work and shows no remote access, do I need to fit the extension kit to the new boiler or should they communicate without it.

Do I need to remove all devices and start the install again?

    you need a "controller " for the SRV's to communicate too. This can be either the Wired Thermostat or the Extension Kit. But, Yes, you need one of them for the SRV's to work.

    cheers @andyblac I've realised what I need to do now, new boiler has a wireless stat so ill swap that out for the extension kit and get everything connected wirelessly.

    At the moment the SRVs are connected to the bridge and app only so can wirelessly see & change the temp but they cant call for heat and turn the boiler on without the extension kit.


    Hopefully a straightforward job.
