How accurate is the humidy indicator?

I often get indication of high humidity, even when sensor is next to open door.
In excess of 60% yet we have no issues with dampness or high level of humidity in our home. Just wondered if sensor may be giving false data...

Relative Humidity is, as its name suggests, relative (to temperature). Two points:

    1. Today in the midlands in UK RH has been around 90% so if you have had a door open, you need to look at your local weather station to see what level of RH you are 'welcoming' into your home!!
    2. Because it's relative to temperature, its accuracy is directly relative to the accuracy of the temperature readings given by the tado apparatus (TRV particularly) with its known faults AND your ability to use an offset to make it even worse (or better)!

  • Our Tado valve reports high humidity in the en suite when the shower is in use. I can’t comment on the absolute values or accuracy, however the relative humidity values are quite consistent with humidity.
