No heating only hot water

I installed our receiver, bridge and thermostat following all instructions. When I test the hot water it works fine, heating test fails and I cannot work out why. I got the product through my energy supplier and I’m wondering if I have been sent an incompatible one.
We have a glow worm boiler, we have a hot water tank and before this had a LG822 controller installed. Any smart people able to assist?
