Help!
I’ve installed this Tado and extension kit for a customer. I cannot fathom out how it controls a hot water valve. There’s no instructions and I’ve had to download all sorts on my phone to even get the instructions. I’m really not happy with the customer service, it’s impossible to talk to anyone or get any information. I simply can’t see how this works with an s-plan. Bought from Screwfix advertised as being for hot water and heating but it seems to me there aren’t enough components for it to be possible, anyone else had the same or better still found a fix? Maybe I just missed something?

Get the tado pro app, it will give you access to manuals. Your customer should have have bought the uk wireless receiver, if it’s the eu version it won’t have a hot water circuit.0

Thanks Johnny, I would have thought it’s the UK version as it came from Screwfix?

If it looks looks this one you’ll be fine, if it doesn’t then it’s the eu version and will need replacing https://cdn.brandfolder.io/607DGEMS/as/tqh86npbjjhws5gwkxfncbfh/104172-DIGITAL-WRP01IB01-INSTALLER_MANUAL-TA-UK-00-V2.pdf0

I didn’t think the extension kit was a current product . . .0

@Rs_65 This should be the UK (relay) version from Screwfix to control CH and HW: https://www.screwfix.com/p/tado-v3-wireless-heating-hot-water-smart-thermostat-starter-kit-white/141kt
If your're replacing a typical CH/HW controller (eg Honeywell ST9400C) with the wireless receiver, it's a straightforward wire swap, with two added links. The wiring to the old room stat (wired stat or wireless stat receiver) will need bridging to always 'call for heat'.
