Nest to Tado and move thermostat due to Heat Pump
Looking for some advice/clarification on the best way to make the switch from Nest to Tado.
Main reason is we are having heat pumps installed in various rooms which will leave only 3 with radiators that need a smart trv on. The bigget issue the current Nest is in a room (and right in the air flow direction of one of the Heat pumps) so its never going to be able to tell what the real temp is in the room , just the temp of the air blowing on it.
I have a non combi boiler system with CH and HW (in the UK) with a wired Nest stat and a Heatlink up in the airing cupboard controlling a Worcester boiler.
My lounge / dining room is open plan. The rad in the Dining room is staying but the lounge will be Heat Pump ( the rad is a long way away from the Heat Pump so I want to leave the rad just as a backup in case that end doesnt warm fully. The other two rads staying are in bathroom and daughters room.
So can I just get a wireless kit, mount the room 'box' anywhere, slap on 3 STRV's and be done with it ?
Does the room 'box' also act as a stat as it will probably be in the dining area where an STRV'd rad will be………will it fight with it if it is, or can you set which of the 2 stats is the one measuring for that room ?

@Groove200 Welcome, Groove200. For users to help, more details and configuration of your present heating system and controls (Nest/'Heatlink') are necessary. Pictures are useful and easiest posted from a web browser.
In principle answers …
The Tado wireless room stat can be fitted in a suitable room location.
For a typical non-combi boiler, S-Plan or Y-Plan zone valves for CH and HW, the most likely choice is the Tado wireless starter kit. This gives you an internet dongle, wireless room stat, and the wireless receiver will be the 'zone controller' (by relay) for the CH and HW zone valves. Some starter kits have a stand for the wireless room stat. Sorry, I don't know about 'Heatlink' nor Nest.
You should be able to use TRVs on your rads in the rooms and set them to 'call for heat' from the 'zone controller' when needed. The lounge heating will obviously interact between the Heat Pump and rad with a Tado TRV. For that room, I'd set the Tado TRV as 'independent' until you figure out how it behaves.
Simplistically, yes, but … The 'room box' (wireless receiver) would usually connect/replace where your programmer/timer is connected. Best to contact Tado support from the chat button on the main Tado website for their advice.
If you use multiple Tado TRVs in the same room, one device is set as the temperature measure. With a wireless room stat and TRV(s), the room stat is usually the default.
The known unknown … some users, in very large homes or older homes with thick walls, may have range connection issues between the internet dongle and some distant devices.
Please be aware that Tado have announced that Tado X will be available in the UK in the autumn.

Hello @Mohammad
Before making a purchase, please do a compatibility check with our support team to ensure the 'weird' wiring isn't going to cause any issues.
