Replacing Nest Gen 2 with Tado V3+

I'm replacing my Honeywell ST9400C planner and Nest Gen 2 thermostat / heat link with the Tado V3+... and things seem to have gone a bit wrong!

Can anyone help with the wiring set up please?

The Honeywell wiring seems to transfer to the Tado easy enough, but the wiring from the Honeywell to the Nest has me confused!

  • I can't see that I can post images on this forum... so I might have to explain 🤔
  • The Honeywell controller contains the following-

    N
    L
    HW ON (normally open?)
    CH ON (normally open?)

All move over to the Tado simple enough, but the CH ON wire comes from the nest Heat Link.

That wire appears to enter the Heat Link on the Common position.

Then there is a cable coming from the Heat Link named Call For Heat, this goes back to the Honeywell controller but connects directly to an unmarked cable from my original cabling.

I assumed that the cable that connects to the Nest Call for Heat cable would end up as the as my Tado CH NO?

This is how I have wired it... and not much is working... I have no app control and the how water seems to randomly kick in every so often 😬

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
