Radiators which don’t have smart valve heating when hot water is switched on?
I have a new tado installed with 5 of the 12 radiators in the house not having smart valves. When I switch on hot water the radiators get heated even though I m only switching on the hot water??

There is likely to be a three way valve connected to the output of the heating pump. It could be mechanically stuck in sharing mode, or the wiring which swings that valve into HW only CH only, or BOTH on - its stuck in BOTH On.
Best way to check is turn off the CH and feel the valve and whether it moves.
Then swap, with only HW on and CH off, it should move again. Feel anything happen?
In one of these modes it is likely the valve does not move.
If so, try replacing the valve head- it does not require much work, just screwdrivers and wire cutters to find and replace the wires. If that fails, then unfortunately the valve in its entirety may need to be replaced.
There is a smaller chance of a wiring problem, but doubt that.1
