Does the Wired Smart Thermostat X support TPI
I am thinking of replacing the existing wires Danfoss TP5000 with tado so I can link it to Home Assistant.
Does the Wired Smart Thermostat X support Time Proportional and Integral (TPI) so it limits overshoots and undershoots on meeting the required temperature and can also control the cycling of the boiler? (ErP Class IV)
Or does it simply switch off the boiler when the set temperature is met and switch on again when it drops below the set temperature?
Thanks!

Hello @fireplex
I went through old support chats to see if the topic of Time Proportional and Integral was raised in the past. It has been, but not often. From what I can see, tado° V3+ range can be compatible with TPI boilers. tado°, however, uses PID to dynamically calculate the required parameters for each heat demand. I am not certain how / if TPI and PID work together.
Also, I realize you are asking about X in post. I wouldn't want to give you an incorrect information. As this is a new system, I could not find information linked to TPI in our support chats. My suggestion is therefore to get in touch with support via live chat. At the very least, they will be able to tell you if your current set-up is compatible with tado° X. I imagine they might have to escalate your case to someone knowleadgeable about TPI.1

I've found this link for the older tado smart thermostat
So I'm guessing that the Smart Thermostat X is the same and supports TPI/ErP Class IV, can someone from tado confirm please?
