Advice on what's needed for setup
We've recently bought a new house and I want to get Tado installed as our smart heating system.
Currently there is:
A Worcester Combi Boiler
An old British gas wireless thermostat that controls the radiators in the house
An hive wireless thermostat which controls the underfloor heating in the main living area
I therefore think I need to get:
1 x tado bridge
2 x tado wireless receivers (one to replace the british gas one, one to replace the hive one)
2 x tado thermostats (one for the radiators, one for the u/f heating)
Don't think the boiler does opentherm, so assume I'm better going for the cheaper Tado starter kit, even though we don't have a water tank?
Thanks in advance for advice :-)

- Starting with the boiler. Can you identify the exact model? Worcester Bosch doesnt use Opentherm but it does quite often now use EBUS, other digital control also supported by Tado. Need to know whether that specific model supports it.
- As long as you dont have to serve a hot water tank, this becomes a relatively simple configuration with two zones in your S Plan, one for UFH, one for normal rads.
- Is the flow to the underflow system and the radiators controlled by motorised flow valves? How many? Need to understand whether that Hive stat is connected to a receiver that switches those valves and thus plays a significant role, other than turning on the boiler.
- Your old British Gas wireless thermostat probably has a receiver somewhere near the boiler, also controlling a zone valve.
Come back with the information. It will help. The next steps are swift.
