Please update home screen to identify which schedule is applied to each room (top left hand corner of each room tile, maybe). Given we have three existing possible schedules I think people would likely want to rename them as something useful and create new ones using the more granulated schedule formats.

I've just purchased and installed Tado in my home and I'm amazed this isn't already a feature. It would make the heating so much easier to control if I could just switch to pre-named profiles rather than manually changin schedules for 7 different devices.

I see this has been suggested many many times. I wonder if Tado count all the upvotes across all threads relating to the same suggestion or just view each thread as a separate suggestion.

Regarding point 2 of the original post edit by Tado, perhaps if some users were struggling with it there could be a different way to implement it that was easier to understand. The Philips Hue app has a profile feature called "Scenes" which is very intuitive.

The way I would envision it working in Tado is that you would have an option to create a new "scene" (or whatever you want to call it), you would then select the specific temperature you want for each room when that scene is active. No schedules, just a set temperature for each room or zone.

Then you could have a single "home" schedule where for each time block you select a scene rather than a temperature.

We are a newly-formed family with children from previous partners that live 1 week in 2 in our house and the other in their other parent's house.

In the week the children are not home, we need to alter the schedule of their rooms to avoid needless heating, and again in the week they are home.

It would be great if we could define 2 schedules for each room and switch between them, to avoid redefining the whole schedule again each week.

It would be better if we could activate the alternate schedule until a predefined time and automatically make it switch to the primary (home) schedule gain when that time has arrived.

It would be super if the system could automatically switch between room schedules, based on the presence of a person. e.g. switch to the alternate schedule if a certain person is not seen home for x amount of time.

I also have a similar problem and today I wrote to support... in the old versions you could disable the geofencing control now with the TADO X it is not possible

This feature is definitively not hard to implement with a simple UI. It could be a dropdown from the home menu, on the top right (free space there). Did you ask users about new features? Saying very few people are vocal doesn't mean it's not a useful feature…

Anyway, for now I will post some bad reviews about the lack of feedback and new features, starting with TrustPilot. It might be the only way to be heard…

I would like to deactivate the geolocation function for some rooms and even better for users... I have two apartments managed by the same boiler. On the first floor there is user A, while on the second floor there is user B. If A enters house, the programming of user B who is away from home is also reactivated.
I would even pay for a subscription to have this feature... There could be advanced features only for those who need it... I see from reading that it is a big lack even compared to competitors

I have same type of requests.
I need summer (cooling) / winter (heating) modes
I need kids holidays schedule (kids are away but we continue to work from home, so just switch off their rooms)
I need holidays schedule (enjoying & resting @ home)
I need modular school time table on-the-fly schedule (kid wakes up 1h later tomorrow)
I need to control the whole house or just 1 room easily
I need a UI that is easy to use.

To me, such schedule flexibility, is THE feature that makes the difference between Tado and competitors.

If you're scared to loose beginners in a clumsy UI, you can still add modes where you can enable power UI vs simplified one.

Come on do something 😉

There are many scenarios where you need to switch to another schedule:
- people working in shifts
- kids moving between separated parents house
- holidays spent at home
- etc

Please Tado, add a way to define multiple schedules and switch between them.

There are lots of things tado could do but choose not to and ignore everything on these chats.
I was subscribed to thier paid service and they have just increased the costs by 50% I've cancelled my subscription.

I'm going to add to this thread. Offering an easy way to flick between these weekly schedules would be such a plus, even just one place to set all devices into mon-sun/mon-fri,sat,sun/etc. rather than selecting for each and every device.

Even better would be to make these week schedules configurable (e.g. for people who are typically at home tues/wed, not just the sat/sun "norm")

And then even better than that(!) would be to allow profiles so I could have a "winter" and a "summer" schedule to easily flick between rather than hacking the existing weekly schedules for this purpose. Or set today to "working from home" schedule. This flexibility would make Tado an amazing product and most basic users wouldn't need to worry about this if they're not interested!! Surely such a basic UI config change as the components already seem to be there…
