Zoning without TRV's?
Hi, my situation: boiler with gravity fed tank, currently controlled via a Honeywell timer. Bedrooms all have TRV's, downstairs is UF heating and some rads with TRV's. My plan is to replace the timer with a Tado wireless V3 starter kit. That will enable control of the overall heating (so up & downstairs) + the hot water. I was then planning on adding smart TRV's to all radiators to enable room control. Will that work in so much that if the main stat isn't calling for heat then each smart TRV can? Finally, I have towel rads with no TRV's, how could I effectively have them on their own zone? Thanks

That underfloor heating system should have a zone valve and wiring centre which switches on its own pump, with temperature of the UFH controlled by a dedicated wired thermostat. Is that what was implemented in your house?
When heat leaves your boiler does it go through any other zone valves, and if so, is there another dedicated wired thermostat that opens those valves? Where?
Come back and we would be able to sort this out swiftly.0 -
The underfloor hearting is controlled by a Heatmiser UH1 W :-
Downstairs & hot water by this Honeywell timer : -
