Need help installing Tado valve on old FAR thermostatic valve

Hi,
I need to replace my old FAR thermostatic valve with a Tado smart valve. Should I remove this white plastic part from the old valve? Do I need a specific adapter that isn't included? I think the old valve is m28x1,5. Thanks.

If the thread is indeed m28x1,5, then you'll need a pin extender and adapter.

There are 6 adapters included in your purchase. You can find an overview here. Try to see if any of the company names match your radiators'.

Should I remove the white plastic part before trying the adapter? It doesn't seem like I can put it back if I remove it, that's why I'm asking. Thanks

@Lignanese the plastic adapter looks like the third party adapter referenced in the Tado guide. Best to contact Tado support or replace the FAR valve with a recognised 30mm valve.
