Use a button instead of a slider
When enabling heating you need to fiddle with the slider to set the heating to a specific temperature but pretty much always I set the temperature to fixed value for a given room.
It would be more convenient to just have a big button that would enable/disable heating and use the default target temperature (global… or even better for a room).
I would prefer something similar for the regular Tado valves as an option to just off/on… with maybe a sort of override (spin the knob left/right a few times?). My kid often sets the heating to 22 and the temperature overshoots and ideally I just want it ON on a specific temperature

I don't understand the problem. The "slider" is for a temporary manual override. The normal temperature should be set by a schedule for each room. If you want to turn everything off there is one big button to achieve that and then a button appears so that you can resume the schedule.
If you want to turn off an individual room then, yes, you use a slider, but returning the temperature back to the schedule is just a button press away, not a slider.
Am I misunderstanding something? Or everything?
