Firmware for Tado X thermostat with matter
I only have a tado X thermostat to connect to my opentherm installation.
I’ve connected the thermostat to my HomeKit house and that works quite ok.
Thermostat is running firmware 64.0.
Is that the latest version and how do you update firmware without a tado router?
I only have the new thermostat that is connected by Matter over Thread.

Hi @Maykel,
I'm not sure this is the correct answer. If you read the question: "How do you update firmware without a Tado router?" my guess is that Maykel actually means the Tado Bridge.
This is a question I would also like an answer to. I do not have a Tado hub either and have connected my X thermostat to Homey using Matter. It is online, as I can access it through Homey from anywhere.
Could you clarify how a firmware update would be sent to my thermostat through a firewall and Homey (or HomeKit)? I have not seen any communication initiated by my X thermostat to Tado.com requesting a firmware update.
P.S
For anyone considering using the X thermostat with Matter and without a Tado hub, I would advise against it, as you can read here:
