Hi, is it normal to have to tap the tado control to get the relays to let go?

Love the product and it's been a steep learning curve. I eventually found a temporary work around for a fault but I don't think it's a long term solution.

Twice now the central heating pump and boiler has remained switched on even when the controller lights indicate that it should be off.

Regardless of any reboot or reset the only thing that gets my controller to not call (release the relay and break the circuit is to remove the cover and lightly tap with the plastic handle of a ph2 screwdriver and click, the relay let's go and the boiler and pump quits.

I am pulling well under the rated value but this has happened twice now on my 3 week old system and my question is...

Is my controller faulty or could could I have missed something else?

@NickTado Hello Nick. Sorry you’re having problems with a sticky relay. This is a fault reported recently by a couple of other Tado X users with the wireless receiver. From a previous life … relays that switch mains voltages are susceptible to welding closed due to inductive/capacitive loads and arcing. Best to contact Tado support and request a replacement.

I wonder if there's a batch of wireless receivers with dodgy relays ?
