Energy IQ

Energy IQ needs to be flexible as not every person billing cycle starts on the 1st of the month. My billing cycle is 21st to 22nd the following month, it would be nice to have the flexibility of being able to change the date range. Without this, the data will continue to be incorrect.

I'm sure it doesn't require that much red tape to get this implemented.

Agree with this entirely, I get billed on the 5th.

Tado estimated for November (so starting from the 1st to the end of month) I used £48 for gas but I was billed £62 as it's billed from the 5th to the 5th, so I can't fully rely on the Tado estimates it seems.

I do not have Energy IQ, but I do use multiple energy related apps (Hugo, Loop, Glow, Ivie, Trio and Uswitch), and all of them operate with conventional calendar month boundaries. This makes comparisons easy. It also sits well with my brain and aids collating full year stats.

I'm with Octopus Energy in the UK and I asked for billing on the 1st of each month for the previous calendar month as soon as I joined. It was no problem to do this. Maybe that would be a better angle of attack.

Oh, and of course I also use the Octopus app and website. Everything uses 1st-31st for each month.

I also use Loop which is great but it doesn't support the Tracker tariff on Octopus, so it's not possible to get accurate figures. I'm not willing to change my billing date, so that it coincide with Energy IQ monthly dates.

Implementing a calendar shouldn't be that difficult, just like the Octopus compare app.

    Time to cancel Energy IQ.

Hugo does support Octopus Tracker. It is free. I've been using it for well over two years.

They do have a Pro app, which is paid annually, but I have no need for that. The free Hugo app is perfect for me and better than the Octopus app.

    Thanks,

I'll look into the Hugo app.
