tado° Wired Smart Thermostat Starter Kit V3+ replacement face plate
Hi Team,
A professional installer set up my Tado tado° Wired Smart Thermostat Starter Kit V3+. I have wireless for the house heating. This is working great.
I have wired for the kitchen underfloor heating and this isn't working great. Meaning I am not sure the on / off of the underfloor heating is working (but this does seem to be working) - the issue is the temperature isn't regulated by the thermostat.
I've had it checked out by two installers - one who installed it and an emergency plumber as the heating was stuck on. Both have said that it's a problem with the face plate of the unit meaning that the room thermostat isn't modulating the heating correctly.
At the moment it does seem that I can turn the heating on / off but the temperature of the water in the underfloor heating isn't going up or down and possibly the on / off connection is unreliable.
The installer came back, checked it and said it was installed correctly and to take it up with tado. I had an emergency plumber turn off the underfloor heating as it was stuck on and confirm that it could switch on (which it seems to but the water isn't getting hot per the app settings).
I bought from Amazon. Amazon have a link to tado support. I think the face plate is faulty and it's not setting my underfloor heating to the correct temp.
Question - does this approach to get a replacement face plate seem a good one and how do I go about this given Tado aren't available today (and I have no heating in my kitchen, which is marginally better than it being on full).
