Earth cable needed for Tado
I recently installed Tado Wireless Smart Thermostat X, following instructions. I was swapping out a Salus RT510 thermostat and receiver. When removing the old receiver, the earth was not connected and just in plastic casing. Following tado instructions I have wired in the new receiver without an earth connection. It’s working, but doesn’t seem right without the earth wired in? It’s connecting to an Atlantic Combi Boiler.

Would you mind giving us the exact model of your boiler? Some of the Atlantic products are controlled digitally. However for now, assuming that you are wiring this with cables carrying mains voltage, the earth wire should be placed in one of the parking nodes: P1 or P2. If this wasnt explicit in the instructions, please let us know.
