Hi there, I am new to this group and much appreciate your time and help. I want to take the plunge with installing Tado X to our house but struggling to get direction how to do this. More specifically how to do this with our boiler; Boiler Worcester Bosch Greenstar

CDI35 Classic System (Part #7738100236) (image attached), this is controlled via the Worcester Bosch Wave (2 wires from our hall to the Boiler in the Garage) see images. I believe this is connected to the EMS BUS (15v DC). The Wave is connected to the Internet. We mostly use the Worcester Bosch Wave APP to setup programmes, advance Hot Water and Central Heating when required albeit this can also be achieved (manual advance, heat increase at the Wave unit too). We have only 1 zone over 3 floors with a total of 16 radiators so as you can imagine we hope Smart TRVs will help make a lot more effecient. All existing TRVs are Drayton TRV4. Our system is unvented.

I had hoped an install might be as simple as remove Wave and wire in new controller, replace TRVs setup in APP, Bingo. But I do not think this is so.

Can anyone help guide me through what I need to do to get Tado X installed as I don't want to spend £1500 if our boiler etc cannot do this or we need to rewire the house :). I have tried to read as much as possible but cannot quite solve this puzzle and head down a rabbit hole about relays, EMS, OpenTherm and the like. All I want to do is get the best install with what I have today.

    Hi, Have you looked to see if the “Tado Pro” app can help you under “wiring instructions”.

    @Vdifferent Our rellie has a Greenstar boiler (2005 vintage) happily working in relay mode with Tado V3+. However, there are many Greenstar variants and different controls such as 'Wave'.

    Best to reach out to Tado support, from the chat function on the main Tado web site, to establish what is suitable for your boiler and heating system.
