Tado + Vaillant ecofit pure bus
Ok, I'm really losing my marbles on this one. Searches on here, on google and reddit and cannot find a de-facto answer to my problem, although It seems it has been asked in some ways by vaillant boiler owners. Please help.
I can feel you know what I'm going to ask. In the UK can the Tado v3+ wireless system, modulate Vaillant ecofit pure boilers, out of the box?
I had a Vailant Ecotec 824 which failed after 13 years, so an Ecotec was fitted. It has a ebus connection and I would like to modulate ot for better effciency and lower overal energy costs. The v3+ was controlling the older boiler in relay mode for about 3 years.
Going around and around, I've read by some, Tado V3+ cannot control the bus system, as its not opentherm and has a proprietary protocol. Some say it's possible but with a Tado extension kit (not sold anymore) plus a wired thermostat (does that mean my wireless stat is defunct, which would be pointless?). Other reading states I have to fit a Vaillant EU opentherm module, that for some reason they don't use in the UK? Tado guides themselves don't definitively say so either.
Can someone please take this anguish off my mind please. I do hope it's not further crazy costs. Thank you

Sorry to read you were not able to find answers to your questions.
As a quick note, tado° X only support OpenTherm and Relay interfaces. tado° V3+ can support Bus in addition.

I have a Vaillant ecoFIT pure and am contemplating installing smart TRVs throughout the house but am paranoid about upsetting things by installing an eBUS / Open Therm adapter. That said, the end of the first sentence in the reply above. "OpenTherm and Relay interfaces. tado° V3+ can support Bus in addition." Does this mean literally mean that tado° V3+ can support eBUS or am I drawing the wrong conclusion?
