Please help - new wired thermostat

we have I think a faulty wired thermostat so want to replace. We bought a new one and connected it just the same as the old one, removed the old device from the app, added the new one and it didn’t work. The setting were the same as the old one R01 HC01 HW ticked and EK ticked. It on the extension kit the hot water light was not lit and couldn’t be switched on manually. Do tado need to do something technical their side to help in switching a new one?
