Frost Protection

Hi just wondering if the frost protection it shows on the app when the heating is off is that enough to stop the pipes from freezing over ? Thx in advance

    From the help section:

    frost protection,

    tado° ensures that your heating system stays protected as temperatures drop.

    I am not aware of the temp level it reacts to.

    @1plus2 Hello. Boilers and pipework in a location that may be subject to freezing (our boiler is sited on the outside wall of a cupboard in the garage) should have frost protection. Usually a hard-wired frost stat and pipe flow temperature stat. Some newer boilers have frost-protection built-in.

    Frost protetction on Tado devices should activate at (above?) 5 deg C. I've never seen it in action - our coldest room dropped to 7.8 deg C overnight when it was -5 deg C outside.

    Where there is a risk of freezing, I'd always advise hard-wired frost protection.
