Buying advice please, replacing old wireless Honeywell

Afternoon all. My old RF wireless Honeywell thermostat has packed in, so I need to replace it. It is a pretty standard thing, only turning the combi boiler on and off, and that's it. I saw the Tado Smart Thermostat X and also a similar looking wireless version. Would the wireless version be what I need, and would that be OK to add some smart TRVs at a later date? I need the main thermostat/control to be battery powered and wireless, if possible.

Any help would be much appreciated, cheers!

Please provide us with the following:

    1. Exact model of boiler. Exact model of Honeywell thermostat.
    2. Do you have an underfloor heating system?
    3. Aware you have a combi- but is there a hot water tank in place and in use?
    4. Any motorised zone valves controlling heating?
    5. Is the house large, with very thick walls?

    Will help.

  • Thanks for the reply. This was from a couple of weeks ago, and had no heating controls. Never had a reply, so bought a different brand, as needed them quick.
