House WIFI and Tado system
Hi.
I am confused and cannot seem to find an answer to my question as to if the Tado system does or does not use your home wifi. I have a Tado Bridge connected to my BT router ethernet port, I have a thermostat, and a Wirless receiver near the tank in the loft.
If my home WIFI generated by the BT Hub goes down I cannot control my heating ? yet I read that the Tado system does not use the WIFI but all the kit communicates via its own radio system.
Questions :
1 : Does the Tado Bridge connect to the home wifi, thus allowing remote access to the system via the phone app.
2 ; if the above is not true how does it work
3: I have two WIFI networks in my house one supplied by BT Hub kit call it BT WIFI, I also have a WIFI network called "Tree" which is generated via TP LINKS Deco mesh kit. One of the Deco hubs is connected to the internet via an Ethernet cable which is plugged directly into the BT Router. So how do I make the Tado system use the WIFI called Tree ?
4: Is there a way of seeing what wifi the Tado kit is actually using if in deed it does use the home wifi.
Thanks any help much apprciated

If you have Tado V3+ then the Tado devices do not use WiFi at all. The bridge is connected via ethernet. But, I have read reports that the BT supplied router might be problematic for the bridge connection. Try plugging the bridge into one of your Deco ethernet ports.
If you have Tado X then I have no idea of the features of that system. Maybe it does use WiFi, but I have no idea.
