Compatiblity
I am currently using a tado° X system with multiple smart radiator thermostats, a bridge, and other components. Unfortunately, my existing boiler does not integrate well with this setup, so I am considering replacing it.
My priority is ensuring that the new boiler is fully compatible with the tado° system and can utilize its digital modulation (OpenTherm) function. However, the compatibility guide I found appears somewhat outdated (last updated April 1, 2024) and does not list all models.
Specifically, I would like to confirm whether the following boilers can use tado° X 's digital control (modulation) via OpenTherm:
- Viessmann Vitodens 100-W B1HF 32 kW (Z020621)
- Is this model natively compatible with tado° X's OpenTherm function, or would I need the Viessmann OpenTherm Input Module 0–10V to enable modulation?
- Vaillant ecoTEC plus IoniDetect VU 30 CS/1-5 (N-INT2)
- Can this boiler support OpenTherm modulation with tado° X directly, or is the Vaillant VR 33 module necessary for compatibility?
I want to ensure seamless communication between the boiler and the tado° X system for efficient and reliable heating. Any additional insights or advice regarding compatibility or setup would be greatly appreciated.
