Help with Tado X. 2 zone central heating plus separate hot water programmer
Hello,
Looking for some help.
I currently have
Arsiston CLAS system one condensing boiler
Danfoss TpOne- B 087n785100 wired programmable thermostat upstairs
Danfoss TpOne- B 087n785100 wired programmable thermostat downstairs
Danfoss TS715SI hot water controller/programmer next to a hot water tank
I have been advised that i need
1 x Wireless Smart Thermostat X - Starter Kit: to replace Danfoss TS715SI
2x Smart Thermostat X (Wired): to replace wired Danfoss TpOne from the two heating zones.
Is the wireless stat necessary for the hot water? Is there an alternative where I could control the got water on/off/schedule without another stat?
Any help with the layout/setup/wiring would be great.
Thanks in advance!

It is a valid point. Am acutely aware that Tado dont have a device handling HW cylinders.
Tado X wired thermostats replacing theTpOne's and also supporting what I assume is an S plan, would work. However you are right, the boiler you have has a high efficiency modulation rating, independently verified, but to benefit from that capacity to self modulate you need to run the boiler in Bridgenet mode and there would need to be some rewiring of your wiring centre.
- Am not aware of a wireless stat offered by Tado that handles a HW cylinder.
- If you want to keep the existing on-off switching mode, Tado X series could handle that mode and handle the zone valves efficiently.
- If you want more efficiency, you'll need to do the following:
- Ask Ariston if they know of a Bridgenet protocol deviceto control the HW cylinder supply and implement what they recommend;
- Swap the X series for the V3+ series, with:
- Wired stats controlling your CH zone valves.
- If you have only one CH zone, ask Tado to give you instructions and the device specifics to install central heating in a way that enables you to operate in Ariston's Bridgenet mode.
Would recommend that you first contact Ariston and ask them if they have suggestions on devices to enable you to control heat to the tank in Bridgenet mode. Explain how the zone valves are configured.
Hope this is not too technical. Come back if you need more clarity.
