One receiver with two temp sensors?

Hello,

I've just had a v3 wireless kit installed; one bridge, one receiver, one wireless temperature sensor. I'm trying to confirm if it is possible to link a second (or more) temperature sensor to the same kit. I would have the sensors in different parts of the house, and if either of them fell below the target temp, they would turn the boiler and heating on (without different zones/smart thermostats).

Is anyone able to confirm if this would work, please?

Thanks,

Gareth

@gwg22 Hello Gareth. Yes, you can add multiple wireless temperature sensors to your V3+ Tado.

One Zone controller, multiple Rooms with a wireless temperature sensor, no Tado TRVs.

    • In the App, put the wireless temperature sensor in a new 'Room'. In the App settings, configure the 'Heating zone' in the new Room to the single 'Zone controller' (e.g. 'Study' image below). Every wireless temperature sensor in a 'Room' can 'call for heat' according to their day/time/temperature schedule. The limit is ten devices.

Any one of the wireless temperature sensors will call the 'Zone controller' and the boiler will fire up. Without Tado TRVs, the obvious limitation with this setup is the potential for overheating some of the Rooms.
