Concerning Energy IQ - meter usage readings

I recently had a new smart gas meter fitted. When i update my reading on the Energy IQ section, the new meter reading is not accepted. This is because the new reading is less than the previous one. Does anyone know how i can fix or overcome this issue.

It's something they should have an option for. I ended up adding 10,000 to the reading and just changed it in the summer while no heating activity.

thanks for your reply Mindstorm and yes I agree. It gave me a idea, that Meantime I am going to just do some arithmetic and add the new meter reading to the previous one recorded and enter that on Energy IQ, which should still give me my usage.
