V1 thermostat battery

Hi there, I have had a v1 since launch but the battery in the thermostat stopped charging. I bought a new battery and that doesn't charge. Thought it was duff and got another, now that's not charging too. Means I have to keep it plugged into a USB charger which isn't great. Does anyone have any ideas on how to sort it?

    Our V1 thermo went bad as well, except the battery holder desoldered itself from the PCB. Tado couldn't repair/replace so their only offered solution was to buy a newer kit. Even with a discount not a wonderful solution.
